Company History
Forty years ago, Dr. Bob Westerman went into private practice of general dentistry, after graduating from Loyola Dental School. Though his technical education was quite substantial, his instruction on running a practice was not. Today, professionals must still learn to navigate the administration of their practice by trial and error. Over time, Dr. Westerman worked out exact workable systems that resulted in a highly productive, less stressful practice. Other doctors who saw his success, approached him for assistance. His writings became the books of Classic Practice Resources, Inc. [CPR], and his systems, the basis of the consulting programs that are now offered to practicing professionals from around the country.
CPR was formed in 1994. Initially, substantial corporate attention was on the manufacture of the Metalift™ Crown and Bridge Removal System, the benchmark appliance invented by Dr. Westerman for the removal of crown and bridge restorations. Since 2003, demand for his administrative systems has been huge, and many doctors have reaped enormous benefits from applying CPR’s concepts and programs to their own practices. In 2009, CPR moved to its new premises at 8325 Jefferson Highway.
The current staff of CPR numbers six consultants, including two highly proficient lecturers, and four administrative staff. CPR’s senior consultant, Sandy Pardue, is widely known as a top consultant in the country and clients are eager for her one-on-one expertise. Clients travel to Baton Rouge for group training and consultants travel to the doctor’s practice for one-on-one consulting. Dr. Westerman, while still practicing, makes time to answer questions and assist many doctors with their practices.
